I am excited to finally be able to include a children’s book in this blog! I hope you will be just as excited as I am!

 

Eyrish is a young girl who is out enjoying her life with her unicorn friends! She lives in a castle and when the rainbows are out, she and her unicorn friends are busy sliding down them!

This book leaves room for you to share your creativity with whomever is reading it to you, or your child. Even when the child is reading it to itself, it can spark creativity. In the book you’re asked what kind of adventures you would have with Eyrish.

Maybe you would like to explore a secret room in the castle? Or what about chasing the butterflies? There is so much that you can imagine when given the chance.

This is why reading is one of the beginning stages of opening one’s mind and world. You read, you listen, and you imagine.

The colors of this book are perfect, not too bright, or loud. Gentle and calming colors help you to relax as you view them. The pictures also give you a visual of what is happening with Eyrish and her unicorn friends.

This book is perfect for a bedtime story, as you soothingly read to your child. If you have children, I suggest getting your copy. It is a true five story read. I promise that this book will bring a smile to your face. You need to get a copy of it today!

 

My interview with Lyn:

1. What made you write this book and how long did it take?

 I am a mother first, before anything else I do. I wrote this book for my youngest unicorn-loving girls, who are currently 7 and 8. It took me a few hours, as it's one of my shorter books. But I wrote it and created the images and pages at the same time.

 

2. What is your favorite part of this book?

 I like the part where the main character, Eyrish, is sliding on the rainbows with her unicorn friends.

 

3. What made you want to become a writer?

 It's just been who I am since I was a kid. There was no big decision. It's just what I've always loved to do. Therefore, I've always done it and it naturally moved with me into every aspect of my life.

 

4. What would you say to someone wanting to become a writer?

 Just do it. Period!

 

5. What are your hobbies?

 I have many and all of them tend to fit into my career as the owner of a spiritual & content community. Writing is obviously one of them. There's also photography, drawing, digital drawing and image design, hiking, RV'ing, jewelry making and design, spiritual healing, gaming (mostly PlayStation 5 and PC), playing with the kids, reading, learning, crafting, and so much more.

 

6. What are you working on now?

 What am I NOT working on is easier to answer.  I tend to have many projects going on constantly, from articles to ebooks, to homeschool lessons for my kids, to healing jewelry, to healing and ritual products, and so much more.

 

7. What was your favorite book as a child?

 Oh, wow! So many. I loved Dr. Seuss. I also enjoyed The New Puppy and The Poky Little Puppy, from the Little Golden Books collection - more than likely because I've always loved animals and have been rescuing wildlife and domesticated animals and nursing them back to health, since I was a young child.

 

8. Who is your favorite author and why?

 I'm honestly not sure that I have a favorite. I enjoy way too many to pick one.

 

9. Why did you start writing?

 Ever since I started reading and writing at age 3, I haven't stopped. I'm not sure there's a reason beyond that I just love it and can't stop!
