Permanent (Indelibly Marked Book One) by Kim Carmichael

Permanent
(Indelibly Marked Book One)

By Kim Carmichael

When I received this book ages ago, it arrived in a box with several others, and it was autographed. Did you hear what I said? Autographed! What all could a person ask for from one of their favorite writers? Books, signed and right to your door! Yeah!

So here I am sick in bed, and can’t reach my computer because everyone took my electronics from me, and there the book sits. Its looking at me, calling to me. I can’t stop coughing, I can’t sleep, and I need to read. Yeah!

I pick it up, and start reading. Shane Elliot greets me at page one. A tattoo artist, that as I keep reading seems like everything any woman in her wildest dreams would be interested in. I mean, you know. If you like a handsome man, with tattoos, and muscles, and you know—hot.

What’s even better about Shane, he likes to stand out, and have fun. But the bad part, is that Shane is pretending that underneath it all, his problems don’t exist. You can’t do that when your problems are bill collectors, especially when those bill collectors end up being the IRS.

One day, much to Shane’s surprise he ends up with a new neighbor. A person in debt usually needs an account to help them figure out how to get out of debt, and fix their problems correct? Well low and behold the beautiful Lindsay Stevens is just that. Shane thinks he just might be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The only thing is, Lindsay has a past, that she wants to leave in the past. So she tries to keep her distance with Shane, and finds it hard to do so, because after all, he is just the kind of guy that her heart is seemingly yearning for.

Will Lindsay’s past come back to haunt her, and will Shane get his debt back on track? These two must learn to accept one another, for who and what they are, can they do this?

“Permanent” is the first book in the ‘Indelibly Marked Series’. It is a book that will take you into the lives of a tattoo artist, and of course his debt, and long with his lifestyle. The book is written quite exquisitely and you will enjoy every minute of it, as you fall in love with the characters, and learn about them, and their lives. This is a wonderful five-star book, that you will want to read again and again.

My Questions for Kim:

4. What do you suggest to people trying to become writers and do you think being a writer is a desirable job?

Pierce Book Three by Jolie Du Pre

Pierce
Book Three

A Vampire Series

By: Jolie Du Pre

When I first started reading this book, the first thing that truly caught my eye, was the pole dancing. It made me smile, because I of course know the author. I was impressed that she actually managed to insert a piece of herself into this book.

Trixie is a blonde and beautiful pole dancer. She isn't a Vampire, but she of course gets to meet one, and his name is Chris. And like most people, she finds them intriguing, but uncertain if she wants to turn against the 'team vampire' or not, or maybe join, she can't help but wonder what is the right decision to make. If Trixie decides to get Vampire killers involved, this could be a terrible fate for all.

In the meantime, Alicia and Dagon finally tie the knot and Louie has finally forgiven Jezebel for klepto ways, and Jezebel insists that she will be putting the past behind her and keeping it there, point blank and period. Chris meets Trixie and wants to show her the light and the ways of the world of vamps but Trixie isn't sure that is exactly what she wants.

At Alicia and Dagon's wedding, its when the real tensions start arising, and the true spirits start to fly. This is where the problems start to arise.

Suggestion: It is best to read the books in order, because the characters do appear in the other books. However, the books can be read alone.

I found this book to unique in its own way, as with each of the stories, in "Pierce." I love how each book flows together, and there is always something different in each story, and they are action packed, to keep you reading, and wanting more. You feel like you are right there.

I give this book five stars, and love reading these books about "Pierce." These are unique Vampires, that like to get out there and make  difference. They aren't just here to kill and be killed. These are classy vampires, a step above most. It makes them more fun to read and understand. They seem more people friendly, and I truly like that about them. You truly need to check out this series, you'll be glad you did.

My questions for Jolie:

1. Do you have any photos of these characters?

No, I don't.  However, I have an active imagination!

2. I love that you included pole dancing! Finally! Did it excite you to write about it?

It was just nice being able to insert a bit about pole dancing and actually be familiar with it!

3. Which of the Pierce series characters (thus far to #3) are your favorite?

I love book #2.  It contains a female vampire who likes to rob convenience stores and other fun stuff.

4. How long do you plan on the Pierce series lasting?

Actually, I'm done with the series.  My focus now is on the multi-author boxed vampire romance book I've recently published - For the Love of the Vampire.  It contains work by a number of best-selling authors, including a couple of New York Times Best-Selling authors.

5. Where is your favorite place to write?

In my office.

6. What all education have you had?

I'm college educated.

7. What are your future plans?

I'd like to write fiction full-time. That’s my goal.

8. What is your favorite thing about being a writer?

Being able to put my active imagination on paper.

9. What can you suggest to aspiring writers?

Don’t expect success to come easy.  Also, understand that you can get success and then lose it soon after you get it.  Keep writing.  Keep at it.

10. Please share with us your social media links and book links:

For the Love of the Vampire - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BKUFQIE

I’m no longer writing under Jolie du Pre.  Therefore, I have no social media links I want to share.

11. Anything extra to add:

No.

Outbreak by Sherry Robinson

Outbreak

By Sherry Robinson

When I first met Sherry, it was because she was advertising in the facebook book groups, about her book: “Sins of the cloth.” I read the blurb, and ask her if she would be interested in an honest read, review, and interview. And she was, and from that point, we became friends, and now we even work together.

As I was editing her newest release “Outbreak” I instantaneously fell in love right from the start. This book is everything everyone has always thought to be true, and is always afraid to mention.  And in the long run, you will see why, people are afraid to come forward with their own, ‘conspiracy theories’ because low and behold if they do, you know how the Government gets.

Sherry Robinson, brings in the perfect Mother character, Kate Carmichael, who has twin daughters. One ends up sick, but not the other, least wise not at first. Kate lives close enough to the Hospital to walk to and fro, and ends up seeing the reality this flu, or whatever it may be, is having on the people around town. Kate is a curious person who wants answers. Not just because she has a daughter who needs medical care, but because she thinks this is all too odd. Especially when the doctors have no real answers, and she even over hears what they are saying.

Kate decides to do some of her own investigations on her laptop, once she gets home. She finds a few clues, and puts them together, and then searches out a reporter, and shares her own insights with him.

In the meantime, her other daughter starts showing signs of the illness too, and her initial daughter is not getting any better. Kate is scared to death that her daughters are at risk of death. But this doesn’t stop her from wanting the things she has found, publicized.

Once she gives the information to the reporter, he too does his own research. He just can’t print something without first doing his own research. Said reporter believes there is a story here, and does check out everything. And eventually he does find out that not only is there something, but it was being hidden, and covered up quite well.

After all of his P’s and Q’s are in order, the reporter decides to air his story. His Editor, questions his intentions, making certain that this is what he wants to do, assuring him that this will have some certain recourse. Without a doubt, he assures his Editor to release the story.

Once the story is released, the Feds start following the Reporter, questioning him, and even trying to get information out of him. They want the story retracted. The reporter refuses, stating he will not retract what he has found, because he knows it to be true. The feds get angrier, and start lashing out.

This is where I will leave you. I don’t wish to blow the entire story out of the water, although I have not given you every detail, trust me. I have left out quite a lot.

I do want you to know that this is an intense read, and you will not be able to put this book down, not for one minute. Because if you set the book down, you will worry about these characters. You will wonder if while the book is sat down, will these characters be ok. This book is just that intense!

This book, “Outbreak” by Sherry Robinson is a big time five star read. You will enjoy it every step of the way! It is a very thrilling and entertaining read! It is very fast paced, and something that will make you think twice about things like the ‘bird flu’, and the ‘common cold’. I mean how many times have you been inoculated for the flu, and then managed to get the flu, and it was a flu that was not part of the inoculation that you received? So how are you safe? This book will definitely make you think about the true ‘conspiracy theories!’ Grab your copy today, before the next “Outbreak!”

Interview Questions for Sherry:

1. What made you decide to write "Outbreak" and how long did it take you? Outbreak is a story that came to me one day. I didn't have any intention of writing this, but the more I wrote the more interesting the story became.

2. Did you do any research for this book? No I didn't do any research for this book. It is all fiction.

3. Do you suspect the government as concocting the bird flu and other miscellaneous diseases yourself? (Be honest now!) I do kind of suspect that the government is instrumental in a lot of things that is being released into the population.

4. What do you think when you get the flu or a cold now yourself?
When I get a cold or flu I hope it is just that, but who knows.

5. How long have you yourself been writing? I have been writing since high school, but I didn't become published until September 2014.

6. What made you choose me (Deneale) as your Editor and did I satisfy your needs as an Editor and would you refer me to others? (Again be honest!) I chose you Deneale as my editor, because I respected your honesty with my previous book. I was satisfied with the way you read my book "Outbreak" in a timely manner and returned it back to me. I didn't have to keep calling, or inboxing you to see if you had finished reading it or not. You kept me informed every step of the way, and I appreciate that.....

7. What all education have you had?
I have a high school diploma, and I have a medical assistant degree. Then I went to college for a year and a half and studied Psychology.

8. What are your future book plans? I am currently writing a book called "The Lies That Bind Us", and I am also working on a book called "GPS".

9. Who designed the cover &/or where did you get the picture from? I get my pictures from over seas, but I tell them what I want and then they design it according to my specifications.

10. Please provide for us your links to your social media & books so that we can follow you:
https://www.facebook.com/sherryrobinsonmeettheauthor/?ref=hl

11. Anything extra to add?
I just hope everybody get a chance to read this book, because this is the type a book that would make someone question the way certain sickness, viruses, and different illness come about every year, and how do they come up with the names of these diseases.
