Pulled by A.F. Crowell

Pulled

By: A.F. Crowell

“Pulled” is the next book after “Pushed” in a series of books written by A.F. Crowell. (I have previously reviewed “Pushed” and gave it five stars and was ‘pulled’ in and just had to read the next book, so here I am!

Leila Matthews managed to turn her whole life upside down with one simple sentence: "Brody, I’m pregnant.”

Thankfully Leila had Jaxon, her best friend by her side, when she feels her nightmare blast of happiness to reality when Brody doesn’t seem to be as accepting to her news as she had hoped. Leaning on Jaxon, with her feelings of confusion, and heartache, Leila feels the need to share a bit more of herself with him.

Eventually Jaxon becomes the man of her dreams, but in the back of her mind Leila still doesn’t want her child to grow up not knowing its father.

Brody, decides that he made a mistake, and that Leila and his very own child, do in fact matter. Now he must correct that mistake, and get Leila to see that he can in fact change.
In the end, “Pulled” ends up being a love triangle, and Leila must determine what is the best and right choice for her and her child.

Both of these handsome, sexy and powerful men will seek her forgiveness for their terrible mistakes, and faults, and as you can see, this is where the title comes into play, because this causes Leila to have her feelings and love “Pulled” in two different directions.

Her choice must be for the better of her child, and not just for love. To her, this will be one of the toughest decisions she will ever have to make.

I truly loved “Pushed” and then how “Pulled” came directly after. The two books link perfectly together, and are definitely five stars. I adore how Ms. Crowell writes, she is quite talented, and makes the reader feel like you are right there involved with the characters, worrying, wanting and even sometimes helping. Sometimes as a reader you just go with the flow. Not when you read the books by Ms. Crowell, it seems like you the reader, are needed to get somewhere.

Strange as it sounds, I felt like if I put the book down, that Leila would just screw up without me. She needed me to read her, I had to be right there, to support her. I was like her side kick or something. Does that make sense to you? I have never had a book that I felt like this, but with Leila, truly I did. There’s something about her, and she needs readers to help her succeed.

This is a perfect love triangle, where a choice is needed to be made. A true five star read, and it is a truly special story that you will never forget when you do read it! Definitely worth your time and effort to sit down and enjoy this wonderful book!

My Questions for Ms. Crowell:

1. What made you write this book and how long did it take?
It is a continuation of Pushed. It took approximately two months to write.

2. Do you have photos or descriptions of the characters?
Not at this time, just use your imagination! That’s what books are all about!

3. How long of a time frame sequence give or take does the book pulled take?
 Basically a year

4. What are you working on next?
I'm working on a standalone that is a spin-off of the Torn Series with some of the same characters.

 5. What can you suggest to people wanting to write their first book and struggling with it?
Don't force it. Get it down on paper and keep going. Come back to it and then tweak.

 6. Where is your favorite place to write?
My bed when everyone else is asleep and my husband is at work.

7. Do you ever get writers block?
Sadly, yes. It's been a frustrating few months.

 8. Do you have another job aside from being an amazing writer?
I do! I work in a surgery center. I call all of the patient prior to surgery.

 9. What is your favorite thing about being a writer?
Knowing that the readers connected to the story in some way. Whether they fell in love with the characters or they hated them. I love to know that I made them FEEL something. Characters are forgotten, words fade but feelings embed in your memory. I want to make the reader react.

 10. Have you ever been a writer mentor? And if not would you be interested in being one?
I have not. I think I would love to be one once I had more experience under my belt.
