I won this book from Boroughs Publishing group, at their facebook party-by answering a question with a description to a sexy fireman photo. I answered with a short few sentences, and won. I was tickled, because I have learned that all the writers for Boroughs are pretty amazing!

The character Mickey saved the life of Amanda’s restaurant partners child. Now said restaurant owner wants to do something nice for him. But the problem is that Mickey has one simple rule: no contact after rescue. And she, the Mother of the boy that was rescued, has an organic restaurant and Mickey prefers the meat and potatoes kinds of meals. He also is uncomfortable accepting gratitude. Mickey is simple and shy, he’s someone who is just trying to get a little peace and quiet. And it was when Mickey finally caves to take the woman up on the meal, he meets the cook: Amanda and his whole life changes. You know how that goes, ‘Love at first sight!’ And poof your whole word changes!

The chemistry these two have is amazing. But with Mickey, he has demons. He is a Veteran from the Iraq war, and he still hasn’t gotten over it. However, in order for Mickey and Amanda to live happily ever after he must first be able to move on from his past. The thing is, can he? 

The part that is so upsetting is while Mickey was busy saving the little boy, he was late for a date, (which was not an unusual thing,) and ended up dumped. You see how it is?! Do a good deed for someone, and get knocked down….

This book: “Naturally Yours” just goes to prove to you, that when you think you’re at a stand still, and nothing else matters, you can finally find the answer to all of your prayers. Answers aren’t meant to be searched for, but just found when you aren’t looking. They are just “Naturally yours!”

I give this sweet, romantic book five beautiful stars. It was a wonderful book, and I truly loved every single minute of it. I would recommend this book over and over again. I found it so compelling, and here I was rooting for Mickey and Amanda, and wanting them to work out. When you read something, and find yourself involved in it, so much so that you are rooting for the characters, you know you have found a good book.

My Questions for Adele:

Thank you for inviting me to your blog for an interview, and for reading my veteran-turned-paramedic story NATURALLY YOURS. I’m so glad you enjoyed the book.

1.     What made you write this book? My husband is a Navy veteran who saved the life of a child on a roadside in the 1990’s on his way home from work. At the time, he was a certified CPR instructor. The emergency happened before the days when cell phones and social media recorded such events. His lifesaving effort didn’t make the evening news, as it would have today, but he never expected a thank you or praise. He just did what he could to help a family in crisis, and then came home for dinner that night, like always.

Since the focus of the emergency remained with the child; no personal information, like names or phone numbers, were exchanged, and so he never heard from the family again. Though NATURALLY YOURS is a fictional story, the opening scene is my way of acknowledging my husband for his heroism.

2. How long did it take you to write this book? NATURALLY YOURS is a 25,000 word novella. The first draft took a few weeks to write, and then I took another month to rewrite and polish the story before sending it to my publisher.

3. Who is/are your favorite Author(s)? There are so many favorites! Since I have lots of friends in the romance genre, and don’t want to hurt feelings by failing to mention some of them, I’ll list my favorite thriller writers. Currently, they are Lisa Unger, Linwood Barclay, Lisa Garner and Michael Koryta. I’m sure I’ll discover others.

4. What is your all-time favorite book that you have ever read? Memoirs of A Geisha by Arthur Golden is my favorite book of all time. His writing is lyrical and the story is so convincing it’s almost impossible to believe it wasn’t written by a Japanese woman. The book is a masterpiece.

5. Have you ever met any authors before? Sure! I’ve been a member of Romance Writers of America since 2003 and have met many wonderful authors at local chapter meetings, regional conferences, and national conferences. Some have become friends. We support one another and socialize together.

6. What are your hobbies? When I’m not writing, I’m reading, or watching TV or movies. I especially enjoy thrillers, action-adventure movies, and dramas. During football season, I’m glued to the television on Philadelphia Eagles game days. I love watching football. I like a few other teams, but the Eagles are my home team and have my heart.

7. What are you working on now? I just finished a full-length contemporary romance novel and turned it into my publisher. As soon as I sign the contract I can tell you more about the book. I hope you’ll read my upcoming release and also discover my backlist titles.

8. How long have you been writing? I’ve been writing since I was nine years old, and sold my first story to a regional news magazine at nineteen. For many years I worked as a reporter and newspaper columnist before writing fiction.  My first romance novel was published in 2007, and I wrote several books under another pen name before changing direction and writing sweet but sexy mainstream romances as Adele Downs.

9. Do you have photos or descriptions of Mickey Kendall and Amanda Greer?

Amanda Greer has long, shiny dark hair, full lips and a lush body. She glows with good health. She’s not exactly thin, but has a wholesome appearance. Although she doesn’t realize it, she’s beautiful.

Mickey Kendall has light brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes. He’s strong and muscular, but not overly so. He’s of medium height and medium build.

"Point Break 2"

As most of you know, I have been "prowling" around hunting the missing @KittyGlitter69 from @Twitter. I asked others to help, but was to no avail. So I decided to make other steps, and low and behold I found him again. And yes, I was worried! 

After finding him again, Kitty Glitter sent me another book to review. And after reading the last one, I was excited. 

Right from the beginning, my eyes seemed to pop out of my head.

But to you, the reader advantage here, you will get the insight of two people. Myself and my husband. Because we do not agree. So consider this an added bonus, a two pointer review....

While reading this, I am getting drop jaw and flipping out. My husband on the other hand is dying of laughter. 

The book is about a fight, seems kinda gang related to me, between cats and a cougar. It begins on a plane, and as I start reading, I am reading about a cat having to take a.... how to phrase this? Bowel movement. 

Again my husband is dying of laughter. 

We get to the point whereas they are at a restaurant and the cats are going to dine. We see a puppy, its cute. And than we see them being handed hammers. Oh my God, no. The cats are than dining on dog brains, and to them, they are oh so tasty. 

My husband spouts out, in the midst of his laughter; "Cats rule and dogs drool!"

I keep reading, we get to another point, where a fight takes place, and this mean Hogan character puts tent spikes into the poor cat, and messes with the cat, and even harasses him as he is dying. Messing with the cats testes. 

At this point my husband is saddened a little, as am I for the poor cat, but still, he is laughing a little with some of the wording. 

Eventually, one cat, who was almost to the point of death talks himself into getting up to save the day. With great effort, and still in pain from being beaten on himself by the Cougar; he does manage to get up, and he finds a condom and some soap in the case had that had belonged to his comrade. 

Please tell me you can figure this out? I'm rolling my eyes here, because my husband is telling me to spell it out.

The cat uses to soap, because he remembers the beautiful Caril explaining soap will help ... bowel movements come out easier. He notes the condom is very strong and durable. He than coaxes himself to take a BM and fills the condom with it, and than he proceeds to go to the cougar, and uses it to beat the cougar with, along with his strength and added redemption for his friends, he knows he must do this for his friends. 

My husband gives this novel five stars. I give it four, because it had several errors in it within the typing, which I found. And when I find errors in books, it really freaks me out. (I am one of those grammar Nazi's.) And yes, I do make my own grammarical errors, and misspell words, but I feel if a person is gonna take the time to publish, at least try your damndest to catch them. Within the walls of this book I found more than five, including a sentence that had no ending. (As those of you that know me, I'm a tell it like it is girl, sorry. I pull no punches.) 

But I can relate to the dog brains, as to the Monkey brain scenario, even though it freaked me out a little, and I know the book is meant to be comical, but it was just not my cup of tea, I think. However, I did enjoy the fact that my husband enjoyed it, it's not very often he really and truly enjoys a book, trust me on that one! And for him to issue five stars, is really and truly a big deal!

Therefore, with the fact that we both reviewed this book together, we have decided to give the book a 4.5 star rating. 

We agree that the book is meant to be comical, and that if you personally know Kitty Glitter, his writing style varies from porn to comical and he is an excellent writer who will keep you entertained. I dearly love him, he is a great person, inside and out, for those of you who don't know him as I do you don't know how much a great person you are missing out on knowing!

1. What made you write this book?

There used to be an online literary journal called ThievesJargon.com.   I had published a couple of stories with them and the editor really enjoyed my work.  He asked to to spend six months writing one new short story every week.  This was the last story I wrote for that.  It was based on the three cats I had at the time and the names and personalities are taken directly from the cats.

It was based on the idea that my one fat cat Blinger was always lazy and timid, but when it came to Fancy Feast he turned into a monster and nobody could fuck with him.  

And I had recently honeymooned in Vancouver before writing the story so I wanted to set a story there.  I was also recovering from wisdom teeth extraction at the time I wrote it and was on a lot of Vicodin and weed and alcohol, so that kind of had an effect on the story.

2. How long did it take you to write this book?

Four days.

3. How many books have you written?

Well they are Kindle books, but not really full length novels.  Some of them do approach novella length though, so I would say I've written thirty-four Kindle books, but only twenty-six are available because the others were blocked by Amazon for content violation.  

4. Do you plan to write more?

Yes, I am always working on new ideas.  

5. What would you say to the aspiring Authors out there?

Just write whatever you want, and have fun.  Don't take writing advice or classes from other authors.  Many are offered online.  These are all a scam.  If the authors were experts they'd make enough money off their fiction and would not need to supplement their income by teaching.  Especially this guy Chuck Wendig, he is a lame hipster.  I hate him.  

6. Why did you leave Twitter?

It's very distracting.  Facebook is about all the social media I can handle.  I try to be off the internet as much as I can.  

7. Who are you favorite Authors?

David Goodis.  Read his short story "Professional Man".  

Anne Sexton, Flannery O'Connor, Horace McCoy, Patricia Highsmith, Shirley Jackson.

At the moment my favorite novel is They Shoot Horses Don't They? by Horace McCoy.

I also consider Katy Perry one of my favorite authors, she doesn't write novels but she creates a whole fictional world during her concerts that's more bizarre and creative and heartfelt than 90% of the novels you read today.  

I also really love Kesha's book, My Crazy Beautiful Life, she is my greatest inspiration in life.

8. What are your hobbies?

Playing bass guitar, keyboards, boxing, going to punk shows, partying occasionally, and spending time with my son.  

9. Dog brains? Really?

That was based on a scene from Faces Of Death when these people eat monkey brains.  I wanted that scene to show that Blinger was morally superior to the other cats and the cougar.

As you may well have noticed, this is my second review and interview with Sascha. Therefore, I expected, much of the same material. Boy was I wrong!

I knew from the intro, I was going to be experiencing a bit of a different realm. Here we are dealing with Vampires and the world of darkness, so to speak. So my outlook is thinking a bit on the side of blood thirsty, and hoping Sascha will throw in his curve balls of sexuality and the spin of a tale of lovers uniting. This is what I'm kind of picturing, even before I start. 

Never try to figure a writer out, it just doesn't work that way.

This book was deeper, more intense. Darker if you will. As I was reading it, I just wanted to curl up into a ball, it made me feel like I myself was in a deep, dark place, and sometimes cold. The literature as you read, the surroundings, you can physically see your dwellings, and they are all dark and cold. Maybe I let my imagination get too over whelmed as I read, but I just felt as if I was there. As if I was longing to become a Vampire myself. 

The main character, Josef seems to be a real "hottie" if you will. At least in "my" imagination he is! But living the life of the undead, just doesn't seem very fulfilling, and I think that too, was part of the things that Josef was bantering with himself. I think, and this is just my personal assumption here, that maybe his character was wondering what it would be like to be human, or even different, as in something else. To me, he always seemed to be pondering, like his mind was off in a distance. A dark place, thinking, and wondering. But again, this was just my take, of the essence of the character. 

Josef is someone; women will dream about after reading this book. He deals with a lot, and his character is very real. As I read, I felt that the Author was very into this character, very related, and even a part of him, if you will. 

This book was a interesting read. A different role in writing was portrayed here, through Sascha, and I could feel the depths of darkness and what even seemed to be depression. I could be wrong, but as we all know~ were all entitled to our opinions. 

I enjoyed the book, "Endangered" as I personally felt that I could even be on the list of "Endangered" people myself. One thing you will learn, as have I~Sascha Illyvich pulls his readers into his work. He's just "that" good! His writing; becomes visual within you, providing you have an imagination! A work if art, something to dream about, and live through his very words!

I give this book five stars of five stars! You should honestly check it out, it's worth reading! Especially, if you like Vampires, and of course: using your imagination! Sascha Illyvich does it again! He is top notch!

1.  What made you write this book?

ENDANGERED was a book I wrote for the growing vampire/werewolf market several years back.  As it turns out, the hero needed something more than what I as an author could give him over the years until I finally figured out what that was.  You'll have to read the series to learn what though!

2. Do you now frequently write about 'Vampires, Werewolves' as well as 'Shape Shifters' or do you like to mix it up a bit?

I've written vampires and wolves, one of my agents has a story involving Pumas and witches, and I've written about faeries too. 

3. Have you ever written erotica without 'Mythical Creatures' in it?

Erotica and erotic romance, yes.  I have a lot of contemporary romance titles. 

4. Out of ALL of your own work, do you have a favorite Character, if so~ who would it be?

I've been saying Joséf from Endangered because his story rings true to how I've felt.  Need to do good in the world, but alas, love isn't for me.  Considering events of late, I'd be hard pressed to say if I still held that belief or not but he's a rough character who uses any means necessary to get the job done. 

5. Who is your favorite Author of ALL the Authors in the World?

Probably JR Ward right now.  Even though the head hopping shit irritates me, her stories pull you in and make you invest yourself in the characters and the world.

6. Do you read 'Erotic Novels' yourself, and I don't mean, just your own work? (If so~ whom do read and prefer?)

Yup.  The usual suspects. JR Ward, Lora Leigh, Christine Feehan, Laurel K. Hamilton, Christina Dodd, every now and then you'll find me with a historical romance in my hands by Julie Templeton. 

7. What made you write a Novel with 'Vampires' in it? We're you trying to 'Follow the crowd' per se?

First off, the crowd follows me.  *ahem*  Second, it was something I wanted to do for years actually, write about the Goth, the undead, the sensuality, the darkness. 

8. When writing, sometimes I note your work to be deep, dark, and heart felt. Is this some of your one 'persona?'

Always.  It's most of it actually.  What you're missing is my legendary "artistic" temper tantrums I'm trying hard not to let out anymore, or my rage. 

9. When writing 'sexual scenes' have you ever done, or experienced what you have written?

Quite a bit yeah.  Especially with recent experiences mimicked by a story I wrote involving a pretty writer fan and Fiji.

10. Do you oft get turned on, as you are writing your sexual scenes?

Yeah it happens.

11. Other than your writing, what do you use as an 'out?' Meaning: a way to vent?

Sadly I really don't have any means of venting other than cigars and alcohol.  I tend to not overdo it anymore on either front because of health reasons and the fact that I prefer relaxation rather than getting all stressed out. 

12. Does your writing often reflect your mood?

It can and does. I'm found often in my work even when I mean not to insert myself. 

13. Were you in a dark place when you wrote this manuscript? If not, how did you manage to make 'this' book seem & 'sound' so much differently, compared to the last book I read of yours? What IS your secret?

I've said before my books are that good and I'm that talented an author and that's what it boils down to.  People think you can simply write a story and then bam, it's good but if the story doesn't make you feel something, or if it doesn't move you, then it's not complete.  I was in a period of change when I wrote ENDANGERED, whereas the book you first reviewed, Burning for Derrick was a much lighter story because my world was better then, and the agent of awesome told me to lighten the hell up.  There is no secret, you simply cut your heart open and pour it over the pages.

14. Do you have more books in the works?

I do.  I'm in the middle of starting a romantic suspense, Endangered has a sequel (it's actually a series.  The tag line is: A small group of unlikely heroes faces an entire Criminal Organization for the fate of the world while discovering true love.)  Plus I have my Covenant of Wolves series we're in the middle of reworking slightly.  I have tons of material for years, practically.  All in romance, of course.
