Sins of the Cloth: What Would Jesus Say by Sherry Robinson

Sins of the Cloth:

What Would Jesus Say
Sherry Robinson
Tara Kyle has moved from Chicago to Connecticut because of the fact that she no longer felt safe in Chicago. She wanted to make a new start, and this included getting back into the good graces of God.

When the movers arrived, it was then that Tara realized she still had desires and needs as a woman. The one sexy mover, kept hitting on her, while the other kept cock blocking them both. After the movers left, she wasn’t sure if it was because she looked desperate or hot, but whatever it was, she felt good about herself again.

As the movers were pulling away, Tara noticed a handsome man across the street. He was passing out flyers. He too, noticed her, and the fact that prior to him coming over a moving truck had been there. So he came over, and introduced himself as Michael Calvin, the Pastor of New Hope Mission Baptist Church.

Tara felt that it was omen that the Pastor had shown up, “Maybe God really is trying to tell me something after all.”

After her attendance at the Women’s Day event, the Pastor made a special visit to Tara’s home to pray with her. He asked Tara, and I quote as shocking as this is: “Do you want to pray with your clothes on or off?” And she undressed, with the help of the Pastor. Tara wasn’t sure of it was a dream or not, when she came back to her reality. The Pastor was nowhere to be found. Fortunately, later- he called to explain his disappearance, or she might have believed everything was a dream.

This kept happening, “prayer meets” if you will, at Tara’s home. Although, Pastor Calvin is married, nothing could stop him from connecting to and wanting Tara.

One day, even the Deacon had caught wind of the situation, and addressed the situation with the Pastor. He told the Pastor that he was going to go straight to hell. The Pastor explained to the deacon, that he just didn’t understand. Pastor Calvin said he had a job to do.  A job, prayers to handle, and that Tara needed his guidance.

This book, which I purchased on my own, and liked the thought of a Pastor being bad, would be something “my” audience would like as well. So I bought it. After buying it, I noticed there were no reviews. I have never reviewed something before anyone else. *Shock!*

Then as I read, I knew I was reading a book by a new Author. This I am accustomed to. After that, I was pretty certain, I was reading a book, that had never been edited. So, because of the problems I was encountering, I contacted a friend of mine, several actually. One on the phone, and one on messenger. Both suggested I do what I am going to do.

I spoke with the writer, and verified that there had been no editor. I pointed out that there are spelling and grammar errors. But this woman has talent. And no one is perfect. None of us, and I wanted to make her aware of the problems I encountered personally. She assured me she wanted an honest review. I have this in messenger, for proof.

The story line, is amazing. I literally loved it, that is what had drawn me to the book in the first place-religion and sin mixing-heck yeah. This is why I bought and wanted this book. It is a great story, and makes a lot of sense, and is a great mystery, and a strange kind of love story. I am however, only giving this book three stars, because it is an excellent read and story line.  But the problems I had keeping up with whom was talking, and the ability to change paragraphs when someone speaks was literally out of control.  Ordinarily I don’t punish for grammar and typo’s but this was too much. The writer: Sherry has an excellent gift with writing and story-telling. I do hope to read and see more from her, but with an editor.

Here are my questions for Sherry:

1.What made you write this book?
This is just a book that came to me one day, and I took it upon myself to write it.
2 How long did it take you to write this book?
I would say it took me about three weeks to write this book, because once I started writing it the story line came so freely.
3. How long have you been writing?
I have been writing off and on since I was in high school, but hadn't published anything until September 2014.
4. Who are your favorite Author(s)?
I am a bit old school I like the classics, V.C. Andrews, Edgar Allen Poe, Steven King, and Danielle Steele.
5.What are you working on next?
I am currently working on a book called "Outbreak: A government experiment gone wrong".
6. What are your hobbies?
I love reading, writing, crocheting, and spending time with my grandchildren.
7.Do you have any photos or description of Tara or Pastor Calvin?
The only picture I have of Tara, and Pastor Calvin are the ones on the book cover......
Tara was young woman in her early thirties, lean and slender with a figure to die for. She had a model body, and she stood 5'5 with shoulder length hair, and caramel brown eyes, and an almond brown complexion. Pastor Calvin was a tall slender man about 6'0,.He had an athletic build that made his clothes hand on him like they were made for him. He was well groomed and clean shaven, and smelled like a million bucks. He had a low neat hair cut that suggest he gets it cut every week..
8. Please share with us links to follow you and your work:
My books can be purchased on Amazon.com
9. Anything extra you’d care to add:
It is always a pleasure when you can find someone that is interested in your work. This hasn't been an easy journey, but I have tried to make the best of it. I have a lot to learn and I use each day as a learning experience. I hope everyone can find the same pleasure in my books that I had in writing them......

The Pixie's Passion Book 1 of the Mortal Champion by Reed James

The Pixie's Passion

Book 1 of the Mortal Champion
Reed James

I love reading Reed’s books, in facts I request them. This man knows exactly how to get in and down and dirty, if you know what I mean.

The part that I found most unique was this book involved faeries! Don’t get me wrong, I’ve read and seen faeries have intercourse, but not through the eyes and fingers of Reed James!

Mauve must face obstacles for the man her heart craves, to quote Reed James:

“It falls on the slender shoulders of Maeve to find and win the Mortal Champions heart.”

The queen whose name is Mab, she sends into the hunt one of her very own trusted servants where she hopes he will find and bind the Mortal Champion to Winter in hopes of making things the way she wants them to be. With her hopes of success, she can win the balance between Summer and Winter. Queen Mab wants to win and end this war.

Gunnar will go to the small college campus in hopes to prove his own destiny. At the College there is so much to learn, and so many new things to experience that he hadn’t expected.

Pixie cannot believe what Queen Titania has chosen to do! She fears for the worst, and hopes for the best. Pixie must put forth her passion and trust her instincts and make it her goals to help with this war. She must make the right choices.

The Mortal World will soon get a surprise visit as Maeve heads there to visit it and see what she can do to help. She has but only one goal. And she can’t help but trust her heart.

I give this book five stars, it was truly an exceptional read. I wasn’t planning on reading a story like this, when Reed sent this to me, but I soon enough feel deeply in love with his work like always. His work is truly tasty, and designed to keep you wanting more, in more ways than one. I loved that there was a great story line, and a lot romance, with the perfect amount of pleasure. A truly astounding pleasing book. A must read for those who like fae’s and sex with an excellent plot twist!

My questions for Reed:

1. What made you write this?
I think the roots lead back to the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. He has several novels revolving around fairies and the way he portrayed both courts was fascinating. I was looking for something to write, something mixing erotica and fantasy, and the idea of a naughty pixie searching for love was the inspiration.

2. How long did it take to write this?
A month

3.Do you have any photos or pictures or descriptions of any of your characters?

Here's a pretty good Maeve
(she's a little more playful)

and Ellyllon (pictured next below:)

is an evil fey that shows up later in the story.
And the woman in the dress of flowers is what Titania's dress looks like. Never found a good pic of Corrigan

4. Any suggestions to anyone wanting to become a writer?

Read a lot, study grammar, and make time to write, even it is terrible. Just write. You need the practice.

5. Who are your favorite Author(s)?

JRR Tolkein, Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson

6. How long have you been writing?

Consistently, 2 years, but I have written since Junior High

7. What are your hobbies?

Reading, watching let's plays on youtube

8. What are you working on now?

The Magical Girl Chronicle, a series that parodies the magical girl genre from Japan featuring college girls transforming into sexy customs and fighting lusty tentacle monsters with sexual magic.
A Futa and Her Dragon: A fantasy series about a futanari thief that awakens a futa dragon. Magic, sex, and adventure follow Isthia and her dragon!

The Werewolf's Harem: An Alpha werewolf and his harem of sexy women fight other werewolves, hunters, monsters, witches, and more in this story of sex, polyarmours love, shifters, magic, and more.

And, for the future, a fantasy erotic series called the Knight and the Acolyte.

9. How hot and bothered do you get while writing your books?
I can get pretty hot and bothered. In the beginning, I often had to take, um, breaks. Now I have better self-control. I still take time to "think about my writing." ;)

10. Reading your books, I can't help but ask- how popular are you with the ladies?
Not very. I'm an introvert. I really don't go out much and I am shy.

11. Do you ever dream about your books and characters?
Yes. Though usually it is my dreams inspiritn new stories.

Pierce: A Vampire Series Novella 1 by Jolie du Pre

Pierce:  A Vampire Series

Novella 1
By Jolie du Pre

Alicia Johnson, a 24 year old waitress has a strong fear of Vampires. So much so she refuses to work the night shift. As with any job, we all know how they are, and that there are times when we are needed to cover one another shifts from time to time.

Alicia whom is already deep in debt compliments of a cheating ex fiance, eventually realizes she needs to take the shift. So she decides to talk her boss into calling a cab, and paying the fare, so at the very least she doesn’t have to deal with the bus system, and will feel safer.

This is a whole new World, the CDC has signs posted everywhere, warning people to beware of vampires, and the humans live in fear of them.

With a crazy Vampire like Bess, whose only desire is to be with Dagon, she will get sloppy and make mistakes. Bess, Dagon and Vince are traveling around determined to make trouble where ever they go. Dagon is a sexy hunk that once everyone sees him, they can't stop looking at him.

This book was fast paced and totally enjoyable. I loved how easily it was to follow along and understand. I also enjoyed the fact the language, though to most may be considered foul and adult, in all honesty, this is how most people speak. I like books that are more real life, and not afraid to act like people truly do, rather than act fake.

I give this book five stars, because it is realistic, and short and sweet, more for the modern day and age. I like how fast paced it is, and realistic. The book itself, seems more true to life than a lot of books I have read. People like to pretend they talk all prim and proper, when in fact they don’t. Jolie calls them like they are. The same way she speaks! I like that about her! She isn’t afraid to act like someone herself behind a book, the same character she is in real life, portrays through her books. I like that about her! Very open and honest and classy! You need to check this book out, it is an excellent Vampire story that will knock your socks off!

My Questions for Jolie:

1. What made you write this?

I've always been a lover of monsters of all types.  Earlier, my focus was zombies.  However, I wanted to work on a different breed.  So, vampires it is!

2. How long did it take to write this?

It takes me approximately two weeks to write a novella.

3. Do you have any photos or pictures or descriptions of any of your characters?

I don't have specific photos.  What I can say is that my characters are all attractive Millennials.  The 22 to 28 range are my ages.

4. Any suggestions to anyone wanting to become a writer?

Don't do it!  No, seriously, it's hard work with no guarantee of success.  I write only because there's nothing else out there that I want to do.

5. Who are your favorite Author(s)?

Augusten Burroughs, Truman Capote, Ann Rule, Vincent Bugliosi

6. How long have you been writing?

Since 2000 or so.

7. What are your hobbies?

Pole dancing for fitness, cooking, gardening, reading memoirs and true crime books.

8. What are you working on now?

I'm working exclusively on the Pierce vampire novella series.

9. Please provide for us any ways to follow you and your work:

10. Anything extra you would care to add:

If you want to be an author, you can have the talent, but if you don't have persistence and patience, forget it.
